I know...Samantha, I am so sorry to hear about this! I know it's terrible when tragedy touches you in such a personal way. Back to the Colorado, shooting, the following was posted on FB by the minister who married me and my husband:

I just learned tonight that the son and daughter-in-law of two of our Dallas Christian College classmates and friends were in Theater 9 during the Aurora Colorado shooting. Monte' and Thea Smith's Son Lucas was hit in the leg by a shotgun blast leaving 8 pieces of buckshot in the muscle of his leg. There will be no surgery and he will permanently have it lodged there. He is home with his wife, Heather recovering. The family is thankful that Lucas' injuries are not worse and they urge us to pray for the people who lost loved ones and those who were far more seriously injured.

And one of the replies:

Was he the one featured on CBS last night? I'm pretty sure his name was Lucas. They interviewed him from his hospital bed and said he isn't angry with the shooter, but rather feels sorry for him that he has that much hatred and rage. He said he will continue to pray for him and that though there is darkness in this world, there's a light thar shines so much brighter. So very mature during a time when many would answer hatred with hatred.Jeanne57https://www.blogger.com/profile/03257954226687861595noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1893796654996201296.post-21820397573468792262012-07-22T22:18:09.898-07:002012-07-22T22:18:09.898-07:00I can't even imagine having limbs amputated. I...I can't even imagine having limbs amputated. I broke my foot and have been hobbling around on crutches all week. I can't even imagine what I'd do if the doc said "Nope! That foot has to go!" He will definitely be in my thoughts and prayers. He's got a long road ahead.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11233274329385550402noreply@blogger.com
